Music - the Measuring Stick

"Music is the Measuring Stick for Society" , says Quincy Jones in his biography "Q".

Then let's measure ... what is a society that has given the world a new music genre called Gangsta Rap? A music genre which, as Alicia Keys said last week, "did not exist until the Music Industry invented it"?

This post is not about whether Alicia Keys is a "conspiracy theorist" as the mainstream media shouted at her the next day after her comment. Although I personally cannot picture her sitting at the Steinway, wearing a tinfoil hat to block out electronic mind control beams, I also do not mind very much if she is indeed a conspiracy theorist, whatever that actually means.
I have found that the more intelligent people tend to spend some time thinking about who really pulls the strings in this big game.

This post is about the simple fact that we now have a music genre that has only one theme, VIOLENCE.
Who needs this music called Gangsta Rap? Who would have called for it, if it had not been invented ? Which parent on earth wants their fourteen year old son to be educated by Top Ten Rap "artists" that girls are to be called "whores" and all other people are to be named "motherfuckers"?
Who on earth was looking forward to this new addition to our global culture?

Maybe regular people are starting to wake up to this reality.. a teenager and his mother are sueing Rap "artist" 50 Cent for promoting violent and criminal behaviour.

Music is a Measuring Stick for Society.
Think on it.
